Which Files?

What backup? iCloud or iTunes?

sorry for not being clear. I’m referring to the “files” icon on my iPhone that enables me to download files (word docs, pdfs, etc) to my iPhone. I’m asking if these files are included with iPhone back ups to iCloud? When I select “manage storage” (iCloud settings in iPhone), you can select which things are included or not with backups . I don’t see the choice of “files” that are downloaded to my iPhone as a choice.

so, are files downloaded to the iPhone “files” and folders created within them backed up or not?

Thank you in advance .
