Try one more thing: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support and Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support. If this doesn't help, then I'm guessing the display has failed or there is a problem with the ribbon cable between the display and the motherboard. On some models, this little ribbon cable gets pinched by the hinge. Repositioning the cable so that the hinge doesn't pinch it may fix the problem.
