Letters "co" disappear after typed in Safari URL bar

Just started today, whenever I type the combination "co" into my URL bar, the letters automatically delete themselves. It was worse before I rebooted in that I couldn't get anything that started with the letters co in the URL bar. Now I can type in words as long as I get a third letter typed before the "co" disappears. I have no extensions enabled on Safari. Brand new (2020) 13" MacBook Pro w/Touch Bar. Just purchased about a month ago. Any ideas?

Howdy DirtyCharmed,

It looks like you're having some issues with certain letter combinations disappearing when you're typing. Let's have a look at this together.

To get us started, let's make sure there isn't a text replacement issue that is causing this. First, let's go to System Preferences >Keyboard >Text. Once there, look for 'co" and see if there is anything listed for it. If so, click on the line and then select the (-) minus button.

If that doesn't help, have a look at the following article and see if it helps: Replace text and punctuation in documents on Mac

Cheers!
