My language is suported but missing

Hi, I just bought the new iPhone SE (iOS 13.6) for my Dad.

The device came with a very limited number of available languages.

I would like to set the device to Bulgarian but it is missing!

He does not speak English or any of the language options available.

I have not been able to find a way to download a language pack for the device. Changing the region does not help either.

This is rather disappointing since any budget Android has Bulgarian in its language options and it was hard to convince Dad to move to iPhone in the first place.

Also, I gave my Mom my older iPhone7 (iOS 12.3) that has Bulgarian menu.

I do hope you can indicate how I can get a language on the SE.

Thanks and regards,

Asen

Apple publishes the languages available for menus in the tech specs. Bulgarian has never been provided for any iPhone so far as I know (only a keyboard), and there is no way to add such things, so I am really puzzled that your Mom could have this. Could you provide a screen shot of that?

You can ask Apple to add this feature in future iOS updates via

In meantime, the only fix I know is to use a different brand of phone.
