I am getting this strange error message in Apple Mail since I changed my email server.

Mail's server setup is pretty straight forward but you must know what the mail server expects. If you are using IMAP, then usual port numbers are 993 or 143 for incoming and 485 or 587 for outgoing, depending upon the server's security protocol. Mail usually expects Password security. You need to provide your username and password in both the incoming and outgoing server setups.



Above is what mine looks like. Sorry for the redacted parts. The Advanced IMAP Settings is simply a field for the path which is, usually, "IMAP".
