I received a threatening email that said I went to a website that put spyware in my iPhone and they had all my contact info and access to my camera. That if I didn’t send them Bitcoin they are going to ruin my life. Is that possible? How do I find out if this is on my phone?

I don’t think it it is, I haven’t done anything to it. I bought it from my cell provider and I don’t think it was refurbished (whether that would make a difference or not). But I do use social media a lot. I’m constantly clicking on links and videos on Twitter. Idk if that would allow someone access.
As with all such emails, ignore it. Do not, in any way, interact with the criminals sending the message.
If the first time you turned it it on it said “Hello” in many languages then it is not jailbroken. Your phone cannot be infected by any viruses, spyware or trojans.

And the links and videos in apps can’t give someone access to the phone?
It's nothing but a scam. This email has been going around in various forms for at least a year. Delete and ignore.
