Hi, I just got a new MacBook Air and today I run in this problem: the Apple Store notifying me that I have 4 Apps to update but when I try to update them the Store is telling me that I cannot because they were installed with another Apple ID. How is that possible if I have just one Apple ID and haven’t use others on this Mac from when I got it New!?

If the applications that need updating are Apple applications that came with the computer, try going to the App Store Purchases tab or click on your profile and then go to Purchases to see if there is an option to accept the applications with your Apple ID. If that doesn't work, you can delete the applications and download them with your Apple ID. The applications are free. You may have to sign out of the App Store, restart the computer, and sign back in to download new copies.

Is your MacBook Air a truly new one, or is it just new to you. In the second case a prior owners Apple ID might be causing the problem. Similar result might be produced it the MacBook was used as a demo at an Authorized Apple seller. If something like this is not the case, then I can't see how what you describe happened.
It's completely new! I just used on it the only Apple ID I have that I also use on my iPhone. I did not even have another one.
Ok, I will try that one and let you know. Yes the Apps are the ones that cames already with the Mac such us Keynote, Pages, Numbers and GarageBand.
