Photos "Cannot Import Item" Error

Hello,

I'm migrating my items into my Photos app using drag and drop from the drive to the photos app.

In the process of importing these I have received the error message that it can not import the item. It basically indicates that the file is invalid and could not import but yet you can double click and open the file.

Either my file is corrupt, or Photos is throwing an error. Because I aha imported to this album and my library about 2000 photos today.

I did see that someone suggested moving it to another folder and seeing if that would help, I plan on doing that but wanted to let the photos upload to the iCloud and then close and restart.

Has anyone had any problems like this in the recent months. As the post was back from 2017 out here. I'm using Catalina with Photos 5.0 (161.0.120) and wanted to ask if there was anything special to try or any tips to offer.

Please let me know as I continue to work through this process. As I don't know if this has to do with duplicate file names or more. Just trying to figure out the tricks for this process.

After giving Photos a break finishing the update and uploads, I closed the app went back in and retried smaller chunks of 15 photos a piece. All uploaded smoothly.

I think somehow there must be a memory or such buffer that I overwhelmed in uploading about 1400 vacation photos from my archive to the app. Could be size and/or count/amount based that caused it. All loaded smoothly and file counts between Photos and the folder are in alignment.

Just wanted to advise of my findings incase anyone else encounters it as well moving over to Mac and repeating the same process
