Hacked my account

How could my account be charged when I have not okayed. I was purchasing an app for $4.99. I received a text from my bank. That Apple had charged me $48+.

Now due to this Apple charge I am without a card while out of state. Unable to buy gas or food.

I have always trusted Apple but have been deceived. Usually I am asked to ok any Apple purchase.
