Apple ID or password incorrect on App Store

When trying to update or download from the App Store, I’m asked to enter my password, but then I’m told my ID or password is incorrect. I’ve changed to a new AppleID password several times and tried to confirm the change through the iTunes and App Store settings on my iPad, restarted everything, but nothing works. Very frustrating. Please help!

iPad, iPadOS 13

If you have changed your ID or password, have you followed the steps in this article?

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support.

Try signing out of the App Store/iTunes, restart, and then sign back in. Check the updates to see if the apps requiring an update are in your Purchases History. If they aren't in your Purchases History, you can delete the app, and download it using your Apple ID if desired. If the apps are in your Purchases History, contact iTunes Support.
