Downloading apps to Apple TV w/o apps appearing on Iphone?

I setup my newly purchased Apple TV and have paired my apple account from my Iphone. When I download an app to Apple TV, the app is also downloaded to my Iphone.

Is there a way to download an App only to the Apple TV w/o downloading onto my Iphone?

settings->itunes & app stores

uncheck the automatic downloads you do not wish to take advantage of in this case [Apps]
