Compress of folder returns "The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted"

Any tips on resolving this? I've already confirmed that I have Read-Write access to the folder.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

The way I got around this was doing it from the command line:

  • Command-<space bar>
  • Terminal
  • cd <to the folder just above the folder you want to compress
  • Type: zip -r <compress file name> <name of folder>
