iMac not booting into any mode, not even recovery from USB is booting.

Hi, posts on this community have always helped me over the years, never thought I’d be the one posting for help. So here it goes.

My iMac’s not booting for more than 2 weeks now, sometimes if leave it for 5 plus hours it will start up and boot, but if I restart the Mac it’s stuck on the boot logo.

These are the things I’ve tried

  1. PRAM and SMC reset
  2. Safe Mode(Not Booting)
  3. Single user mode(Not booting)
  4. Tried Internet Recovery, it downloaded the OS but when the computer reboots to install, it’s stuck on Mac logo
  5. Recovery mode CMD+R (Not Booting)
  6. Made a Mojave boot usb from another Mac, that’s also not booting.
  7. I’ve got windows installed on boot camp, that’s also not booting
  8. Suddenly my thunderbolt ports are not working and the first 3 USB ports are not reading some devices.

I’ve been really frustrated, there is no Official Apple Stores in India, just third party authorised service centre’s who always treat the customer very badly and hold your device hostage adding problems which are not even there. I would usually take my Apple products for repair abroad when I’m travelling, but in this case I can’t carry my iMac.

You guys are my last hope.

Try Both of These:

I. Go Here: If your Mac Starts Up to an Apple Logo or Progress Bar - Apple Support

II. See if your Hard drive is Failing:

  1. Boot: into Recovery Mode
  2. Select: Disk Utility
  3. Select: the Drive
  4. Click: First Aid button
