I have 2 Apple IDs. How do I consolodate?

I have had 2 apple id for a long time. 4+ years ago one of the forums told me I could not combine them. With the increasing use, apple card, itunes, photo storage, etc. it is more of an issue now. I am getting a new iMac next week and want to get all my eggs in one basket. How do I consolidate my 2 apple ids?

Nothing has changed. You still can't combine them.

I hope that, four years ago, you picked one and discontinued active use of the other. If not you need to do that now. Pick the one that you've purchased the most content with. Or, if you have an Apple Card, the one tied to your Apple Card. You can share content between the two IDs using Family Sharing.

Thanks IdrisS. This seems so ridiculous. Apple can recognize my finger print and my face and know at all times where I am (via my phone) but they can't merge 2 basic accounts. I did limit use to one account but not faithfully. My forum questions are in one and storage and iTunes in another. I wasn't aware of family sharing. If that allows me to see everything in one account that will allow me to completely stop one account. Thanks for that advice and for the info.

I have no doubt Apple could do this if they chose to. But, they do not allow it. I suspect that it has largely to do with copyright issues but I'm just guessing.

There's no reason you can't keep using one Apple ID here in the forums and one for everything else. I know people who do that.
