How to remove Activation Lock from Ipad mini?

Activation Lock is a theft deterrent, and this iPad is presently indistinguishable from a lost or stolen iPad.

A theft deterrent that’s readily bypassed isn’t much of a deterrent.

You will need the associated Apple ID and password, or the original purchase receipt and matching photo ID and a discussion directly with Apple. The Activation Lock display shows a hint about the Apple ID associated with the lock.
