Touch bar glitches

When you choose to show spaces in the touch bar settings, and then also checks the box for show control strips, there should be an arrow on the right of the touch bar to expand the control strip. Under this configuration, the control strip wouldn't really work. It would show up briefly and then retract back again and the arrow icon would disappear.

(You would need to click on the desktop or maybe other windows to make the arrow for control strips to show up again. But then when you tap the arrow the same things would taken place.)

Any solutions for this?

Try making some changes to Touchbar user preferences

>System Preferences>Keyboard>>Keyboard

Use the Touch Bar on Mac - Apple Support

Change Keyboard preferences on Mac - Apple Support

Customize the Touch Bar on Mac - Apple Support

Interesting, looks like a bug in macOS – when the Touch Bar is set to show spaces, tapping the 'expansion' arrow at the left of the control strip fails to extend the control strip (well, it looks like it shows up very briefly) and instead the control strip itself disappears.

A workaround would be to set Press Fn key to: Expand Control Strip, then pressing the function key gives you the expanded control strip on the Touch Bar.

Tell Apple (I just did, but the more reports the more likely action will be taken.
