MP3 playback

I have just downloaded the latest Safari, version 14.0, and all of a sudden I am not able to play mp3 files on, specifically, Jazzradio.com.

Any one else with similar problem?

iMac Pro, macOS 10.15

It sounds like you're having some trouble playing files in Safari and we can help.


It seems like that website should play normally in Safari. Can you check to see if you have the tab muted? There is a small speaker icon in the address bar:

Mute audio in tabs in Safari on Mac - Apple Support


Do other sounds play fine in Safari?

Thanks for your interest in my problem.

i am happy to report that the problem went away after re-booting my imac pro. It was strange, though, as it was the only website that I could find that exhibited that peculiarity. I actually got several useful and helpful replies on the Apple community site also.

It is very kind of you to offer your suggestions. All is well that ends well!!!
