Setting up new ipad

I just got a new iPad and I have no idea how to set it up and transfer all my apps and data and photos etc from my old one. I am trying to book an appointment with a genius at a store but they want me to do it all myself with someone talking me therogh it. I am a really luddite and this fills me with horror. I can't get through to the store by phone all I get is the automated line. Any ideas on how to get through to a store to book an appointment. I try saying 'manager' on the auto line but that didn't work.

These support pages should get you started with setup of your new iPad - and the methods of transferring your data from old to new iPad:

Set up your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – Apple Support

Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – Apple Support

The process is straightforward.
