Apple Watch won’t pair

I purchased a new phone and don’t have my old phone anymore. My old phone was factory reset before trading it in. I attempted to pair my apple watch with my new phone and it will not let me because it said i am still connected to my old phone. I need help

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
