Random Shutdown MacBook Air bad quality

I was always a PC user so I bought a Mac book Air to see what all the hype was about. At first I was excited and had high expectations but the Mac just randomly shuts down while it still has charge! I chatted with support and have done an OS reinstall and checked the disk reliability with no fix so now I have to leave work early to take a $1000 computer which should have shipped in working order to get "repaired"! I am highly disappointed in Apple and will not be purchasing another product!!!

I am having exactly same issue with MacBook Air 2020 model. My laptop restarts randomly anytime during the day and there is no fix sequence to identify the steps. I even make sure I submit the error report to Apple after each restart.

I had several hours of discussion with almost 10 different Tech Support guys and nobody is able to fix the problem. I did a reinstall of OS, run hardware diagnostics, and many more. Still no luck.

I am losing my office hours due to this problem and thinking a purchase a windows laptop. If the problem is not resolved by Apple, the only option I see is to dump my laptop into garbage and forget about $1500 I spent on it.

Really disappointed with this Apple product.

Perhaps should the issue be a matter of technical skill and expertise

to take or 'send-in' Mac to a service center for an attitude adjustment.

• Apple Repair and Repair Status Check - Official Apple Support

• Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

Also to get the AppleCare/+ extended plan can help work bugs out.

Most people I know, get those and never need them. Or learn to do

easier tech work themselves.

Take care & safe travels!🌻🐶

Sorry for your trouble. I've had Macs for over two decades and never needed service (one battery recall notwithstanding). Currently have 7 Macs running in the house. But no manufacturer is perfect.

As in interesting comparison, I spent 10 years working for a company that provided Lenovo/HP PCs and during that time I had two personal 17" MacBook Pros (both of them still work!) and I went through over a dozen company-provided laptops (a couple were end-of-lifed, the rest just failed for one reason or another).
