Change app store region - disable apple music

Hi all

I've just changed jobs so I will be regularly moving between the UK and Germany. Therefore there are some apps I would like from both countries but are limited so you can only download when you change the region of the app store. That's all good.

However, the problem is I cannot change the app store region unless I cancel my apple music subscription. I'm guessing it's really simple and that there are different licensing agreements in different countries. But I don't know why this is linked to my app store region?

So when I want to download a German app, I have to cancel my apple music subscription (possibly wait up to a month), change my app store region, download the app, then subscribe to German apple music. If I then want to download an app that is limited to the UK I have cancel my German apple music subscription (posssibly wait up to a month), change my region, download the UK app then sign up again for apple music.

I would really prefer to use apple music but the obvious solution is to switch to spotify, tidal etc. I'd rather not but this would be such as hassle that I need to find some solution. It seems very odd to me that I have a dual sim phone with both a UK and German number, but yet I can't simply use two different app stores on the same device.

Any suggestions?
