Books single page view

I prefer to read books in a single page view with a pretty small letter size on my iPad, however since the iOS 14 update I automatically get the two page spread unless I up the letters by about three sizes or select vertical scrolling.

Anyone know if there’s any way to manually change the layout to a one or two page view without messing with the letter size or switching to vertical scrolling ?

If you do, please let me know! (I doubt it’s possible, but worth a shot I guess)

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem. I sincerely hope it's a bug or that customisable page view is on it's way. Like you said, this is getting ridiculous.

It might be time to send some feedback, yeah.. And hope to see any changes within the next few years lol. For the time being, I guess I'll keep reading with a bigger font size or on my phone as well (I refuse to give in to the two tall, narrow strips of text).

Happy readings!

Noticed the same thing, it’s really annoying. I can’t see the point of having two tall and hard to read pages compared to one big with smaller text. I think it’s a bug. If it’s not a bug it’s about time to have option for how many pages it’ll show side to side, this is just ridiculous. The letters are so big it’s easier to read on my phone, as it shows as much text on page with the font size I want to use...

I guess it’s time to send some feedback
