How do I upgrade my iOS from Yosemite to Catalina?

I have a very old MacBook Pro and running Yosemite iOS. I cannot find support on how to upgrade to Catalina. TIA

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which MacBook Pro model you have, download El Capitan, High Sierra, or Catalina. It needs to be at least a late 2010 model for High Sierra, and 2012 for Catalina.
