Audio still playing over Bluetooth headphones with volume completely turned down

I can still hear the audio of music and videos play in my Bluetooth headphones despite having the volume completely turned down to 0.

With normal headphones and without headphones the problem doesn’t happen.

The issue started out of the blue...

Hi kurage,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you’re having trouble with your Bluetooth headphones. We’re happy to help.

We suggest unpairing and then setting up your headphones again:

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Should the issue persist, reach out to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.

Take care.
