Microsoft Office Software

I just upgraded to Catalina and it knocked out my Microsoft Office suite - not great and nothing Apple will do about it. I purchased through Apple Store Microsoft Office 365 SAAS since I need Office. How do I use it? It is not acknowledging that I've purchased it (i.e., I can open the applications but they won't let me save and it keeps telling me I need to subscribe to activate - I already did).
