"Sim not supported" in unlocked iPhone 11 Pro Max

I think there is a major flaw in the 14.0.1 update. Whenever I put my verizon sim in the phone, it immediately locks and tries to activate and gives an error "Sim Not Supported". I have At&t service on the esim and it works fine, if I disable that verizon works fine, but both can't be on at the same time.

if you use eSIM, the hard SIM must be from the same provider

That is only true is the device is carrier locked.

This is not the first report of this I've seen.

I suggest the OP put the phone in recover mode, set it up as new, then try different SIM / eSIM combinations. This may very well be a bug.
