i pad pro and portrait pics
This model will not take rear camera pics in portrait mode. Only selfies. Can anyone recommend a camera/editing app that will facilitate this. Many thanks.
iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi

Thank so much for your reply. Dont think I was clear....I understand there are apps available that will allow for portrait mode on rear camera...ie to take pics of subjects rather than selfies. Looking for recommendations.
The so called Portrait mode emulates/renders a shallow depth of field - to produce a synthetic bokeh effect that you would otherwise only be able to achieve using proper photographic lenses.
There are many Camera Apps in the Apple App Store - as there are professional post-processing Apps (e.g., Affinity Photo and multiple Abobe Apps) - from which to choose - each with their own strengths.
The perceived benefit of the iPhone Portrait mode is the Apple proprietary processing - that produces acceptable results without the need for post-processing. Apple do expose this functionality to post-processing Apps by way of API. However, to my knowledge, the Portrait photo mode found in recent models of iPhone are not available to the iPad Camera hardware.
Thank u so much for all that info.
I hope it was helpful in guiding your search for a suitable solution.
