Catalina 10.15.7 Crashes computer

I updated my Macbook Pro 2020 that I have used for the past 3 months to Catalina 10.15.7 last week. No issues prior to update. Since the update, my operating system completely locks up, rendering the trackpad useless as you can't even depress it. This happens multiple times a day without any obvious correlation to what apps I'm using. The computer was fine before it. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or is experiencing similar problems. Thank you
