Apple Watch- location tracking for workouts

I have an iPhone 11 and an Apple Watch se. Although all my location services are on ‘allow when using’ and precise location, the map will only pinpoint my starting location for any work out. It is not tracking my route whilst walking. This has randomly stopped working, although this is a new watch restored from my Apple Watch 2.
