Catalina Keyboard Viewer

My new Mac Mini running Catalina won't show my magic extended keyboard in keyboard viewer, only a standard one. This is a serious nuisance as I use this to type and use the number pad and some of the nav keys a lot. My previous Mac (OSX 10.13) was OK. How do I fix it?

Good afternoon Chr1sgould,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like your Apple Magic Keyboard isn't showing in the Keyboard Viewer of your Mac mini.

Have you updated to the most recent version of macOS Catalina?

Try unpairing your Magic Keyboard, restarting the computer after the update, and then pairing it again.

Take care.
