Having no physical volume and screen brightness buttons on a new MBP is the first time I''ve experienced seriously hating a Mac product. If there is no way to map volume to physical buttons I'm going to return the computer it's so infuriating.

Help us help you. What MacBook Pro sub-model do you have? I assume your problem is arising from the Touch Bar but I often get in trouble when I have to assume.
