iPhone 12 yellow screen

i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".

Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!

What is now a problem is the process to change the phone. Apple wants to receive this phone and then they will send me another. In 2/3 weeks...

this is absolutely ridiculous.

im a good Apple customer, from computers, iPads to watches to phones to AirPods for me and my family. Never had a problem, now that I do, I get to know an arrogant and inflexible company.

not happy at all.

I’ve returned mine and I’m now expecting for a new one.

before returning it, I’ve done what you described and it makes it better. However I don’t believe that after buying a 1,300€ I have to make that kind of fixes, it should be great out of the box. If the new one is not as it ahould, I’ll probably buy something else.

I’m very disappointed by Apple on all this.

Shame on you Apple why not include a bigger battery and keep same display quality. We all know that you did this on purpose to increase battery life. Always finding ways to make more Profit. Typical for Apple let’s remove headphone jack so they buy the AirPods. Let’s remove the charger block so they buy the MagSafe and MagSafe cover. Environment excuse! Please don’t sacrifice quality or this will be your downfall one day.

it might be an easy fix man, i tried the same before returning my first.

the point is that, this is an Apple iPhone, you should not have to do anything like that with a new device.

I think this is my 10th iPhone(not counting watches, macs whatever), never had the need to do anything of the sort, and that is the way it should be when purchasing something from apple.

This for me is a complete lost of confidence in Apple. to be honest, if all my devices were not apple, i would be considering some android, that's how disappointed i am. Instead i have a ****** 1,300€ phone.

In london we are in lockdown till 2nd Dec, hopefully Apple will resume operations on 3rd Dec so I can browse also. I can benefit from extended Christmas return policy till 8th Jan 2021 to return my yellow screen iphone 12 pro max. Will see how it goes once I compare with display models on 3rd Dec or later! Have time to return so not in a rush.

I had the flickering with my first iPhone 12 Pro. I still have the low light, tinged background for everything no matte what app I am in it still appears low lit & colors are still not vibrant at all.

I am not happy at all. I spoke with a tech today & we did a restore & that did not change the background appearance at all. Even using the pre-set backgrounds the lighting for this phone is horrible. I even took it in to the Apple store 11/23/20 & was essentially told to go home & handle it myself or deal with tech support no change.

I think I may ask for a refund & buy something else.

I don’t really understand how JasmineAtcho's comment can be marked as an answer (solved).

Auto brightness has nothing to do with this problem. And even if Auto brightness would solve anything, it would just show that something is wrong with the color management. Colors are dead, photos are dingy, I don't even want to mention videos.
