iPhone 12 yellow screen

i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".

Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!

I’M OFFICIALLY DONE WITH APPLE!

I went to the Apple store for my appointment as scheduled by tech support only to pretty much be told, there’s nothing they can do because the phone had been exchanged once.

I advised them that I really did not want to do an exchange. I wanted what I had fixed.

Also I found that there were comments on my issue that were not discussed & I was not only upset by this but offended because it was a “CYA” in the person who say me part to make it appear as if they’d done their due diligence. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

  1. If I’m in “zoom” view” as opposed to “standard view” the screen intermittently shifts to the right.
  2. I asked why “previous” phones & iPod displays are vibrant, crisp & clear while the newer IPhone Pro is dull, white backgrounds are actually grayish/tinged in color.
  3. Phone is very glitchy.

These are not incentives to keep this phone.

  1. I’ve done a restore.
  2. reset all settings

No change.

WHY SHOULD THE NEWEST IPHONE’S DISPLAY LOOK BETTER THAN THE ONE BEFORE?

This was my IPod but same look as my XR.

AUTO BRIGHTNESS IS OFF.

TRU TONE IS OFF.

The screen is YELLOW, it looks like crap, i dont need Apple worrying about the amount of Blue Light that hits my eyes, and if i remember correctly that is what the Tru Tone is for if you want to use it. The displays on the iPhones that Apple use suck, im confused as to why they are made by Samsung and suck so bad since Samsung's Galaxy series have gorgeous displays. You would not even realize this unless you looked at a Samsung phone, next time your in BestBuy pick up a Samsung Note 20 Ultra, look at the display, youll want to return your iPhone. What a waste of money and time. That being said, the displays on the iPad and Macbook look fantastic. FAIL for APPLE!

Come on guys, really do we need to just stay there a test all the possible settings?

They rejected to change my phone or repair just because they said a new iOS will solve this issue; but I'm still waiting a new update and clearly this display is the worst ever for iPhones.

If after more than one month they haven't issue any iOS update, this probably means that is an hardwired problem and they are just waiting... maybe to avoid that all the people will give the phone back.

If it was supposedly a software issue there should’ve been a software update to fix that and there hasn’t been yet. So yes I agree with you Apple should replace all of our devices because this is not right my 11 Pro Max is better than the 12 Pro Max and I am very unhappy. Apple what are you gonna do to fix this? Because obviously it is not a software issue.

Thanks for the information.

The Apple Assistance stated, that "engineers officially recommend to play manually with color filters"? The page says "If you have color blindness or other vision challenges, you can use Color Filters to help you differentiate between colors".

No, I neither have color blindness, nor need help in differentiating colors. There is no spoon, oh sorry, I mean there is no white on the screen. That is the problem. Everything super good with the phone, great device, except one little detail, the display. Period.

The illusion that I see white, when I play with the color filter settings, goes away after few hours. The statement made by the Apple Assistance (as you said) is simple not straight. They just wanted to mute the problem. Nothing new.

One more thought, just to be sure, whether it's a real problem for me. If the screen would show orange, instead of blue, would I accept that the screen is simply "warm"? Would I play around with the filter?

Set777 thank you! so that means that everyone that has a "broken" iPhone screen would have to replace it once they will be able to fix the new iPhone screens?

I am asking since if I will wait 2 more weeks that will be the grace time Apple offers in returning the iPhone 12 Pro in my case.

Wondering if this will be something that they will replace later on. Knowing that all these phones had an issue before!

I am glad more people are responding about this issue because when I took my phone into 2 different Apple stores they acted as if I was the one with the problem & that they'd not heard of anyone else having this issue. My phone has been exchanged twice & still has the issue. Now when I open a message/response to something I sent to someone with a large screenshot, it won't even allow me to see the message. I have to hit respond then I can look at the message, when I try & view certain web pages no mater what settings I have my page set on it reverts to reader only forcing me to go back in & change the settings.

Well, like all of you my iPhone 12 Pro is yellowish and I noticed it right out of the gate. I'm upgrading from a 7 Plus and the 7 Plus side by side blows the 12 out of the water for the display. I am so **** disappointed. It's very frustrating reading through here and no one getting anywhere with Apple on some kind of fix. Is this issue on the 12 Pro Max as well as the 12 pro? I'll make them give me the Max at the Pro price if there is no issue with the Max. anyone know if the Max is screwed up? How in the **** does something so obvious as this yellowish warm hue get by all the **** people at Apple quality control?????????????
