iPhone 12 yellow screen

i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".

Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!

Thank you for responding.

I am the one who initially started this thread because I was being told by one of the Apple stores that there was no reported problems with the background coloring of the new iPhone 12 Pro.

I said I know that I am not crazy and not wasting my personal time reaching out to Apple or returning to the stores so I started this thread to see if anyone else was having the same problem and wouldn’t you have guessed it, I got a flood of responses of people experiencing the same issue.

it is definitely frustrating as I am not only experiencing the issues with the tent but viewing emails and sometimes Safari adjusting things two of you that I am not able to view.

I hope that you are able to resolve your issue. If they do not come out with an update to resolve this I will be returning my phone for a full refund. I have already been looking at other phones.

Yup! I am just deciding if I should just replace my iPhone 12 Pro by the beginning of January with an 11 series.

If I will wait longer than the date above, and not have the Apple coverage, I will not be able to get a refund for the phone.

So it really comes down to these options:

1) returning the iPhone 12 Pro and get an 11, while still filing the claim for the fix

2) keeping the iPhone 12 Pro and get coverage for it, while still filing the claim for the fix

In both cases, it might take time to get a clear resolution from Apple. In case 1) I might need to "rebuy" the iPhone 12 Pro once it gets fixed, unless Apple is recognizing the issue and pays for the difference in getting back to the latest model.

jenney5309 did you already returned your iPhone and got a previous version? Just wanted to learn how everyone else dealt with this matter! Thank you!

Thank you so much as this is the best way to fix this problem , I’ve called technical support, had a lengthy talk with them and they have documented our phone call and ran a on screen diagnostics with me , they will not send a new device because everything else is fine nothing is broken and Apple techs check everything that may be wrong with the diagnostic! Every test came back with no problems for me and they “can’t”

see this yellow tint I even mentioned this discussion page , my guess the more calls they have about this issue will be the only way a new update will occur to

fix it ! You really helped me a lot since the main reason of me purchasing my phone 12 pro max 2days ago is for the sole purpose of better screen resolution and picture outcome , I’m a mom I hardly do much for myself this was the big “Yay” for me with everything that’s going on during this past year ! You made my day and I still can’t thank you enough !!! Continue being awesome ❤️🥲❤️

No matter what some people are saying the bottom line is that for some, if not most, people have a problem with the white. It’s so obvious when you compare it to another iPhone model prior to the 12. It needs to be addressed by Apple because this is supposed to be the ultimate camera phone and if the color is off you cannot edit your pictures accurately and that sucks if you want to order canvas or prints of your photos.

I was pixel 4 before I came back to iPhone, not had a iPhone since 6. Before I sold my pixel phone I compared screen and pixel was well better, reason why I didn’t send iPhone back was because when I read about it I heard they had the same problem with IPhone X and later got fixed so I thought I will just wait.

I think iPhone lack on OLED screens and that’s why we still stuck with 60hz while 90hz has been with android phones for the past 4years and now some phones hitting 120hz. The only good think with OLED it should only take a update to fix but has Apple just given up?
