i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".
Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!
My problem isn’t the 60hz display. My problem is that my iPhone 12 display have that awful yellow tint, this is unacceptable for smart phone at that price range. Even an 200€ phone have better colour display from my iPhone. Iam very disappointed.
Yes this is the only way to fix this yellow tint, but I think when apply a color filter for some reason you lose the max display brightnes. It’s unacceptable need to use a colour filter to fix the screen colours on a smartphone at that price range.
Not really. Other colours and brightness levels would be messed up using this work about. You can confirm this by going over to the Photos app, click on a photo and the share button. Turn up the brightness and the share options should be yellow and ugly.
Hi, thank you so much for that information. I was just about to return my phone as I compared it to my Iphone 6S. I was like why the **** I paid 1160€ to get a yellow screen like this.. photos were looking awful... I did what you mentioned and it is even whiter/brighter than my 6S 🥰
To be honest, I’m actually convinced the OLED screen isn’t the problem, I actually think it is the glass for the screen.
if it was software issue it will be a easy fix for Apple, and for not everyone to have this problem, it more likely the glass screen probably a bad batch. I don’t know though just a a thought.
Hey everyone. Does anyone know if there any iPhone 12’s (12, mini, pro or max) out there that do have the same white point as the 11, XS or X series? Or do ALL 12’s have this kind of yellow tint problem?

if I photograph anything indoors the colours are way off and not 100% outside either, so annoyed
I am sorry if this is a late response but I really need help. I’m having the same problem on my iPhone 6s which I’ve had for about 3 years now. It just suddenly happened this morning when I was changing my keyboard settings on my phone. I changed what i wanted to change, and then suddenly when I pressed the home button the same thing happened, my screen had a horrible looking yellowish blue tint to it. I don’t know what to do… please help me. All my pictures, everything are blue and I don’t know what to do. If anybody has any suggestions I’d really appreciate it.

Auto brightness has nothing to do with this problem. The displays on theses 12pro’s are yellow, dingy and low contrast.

Even with true tone off my iPhone 12 pro is much more “yellow” than my 7+.
