iPhone 12 yellow screen

i got my 12 pro yesterday, beautiful machine, but i started to notice some lack of color intensity, i've using an Iphone X for 3 years know, so something was off. I put the two side by side, displaying the same foto, exactly same settings, and it's sad, something is wrong with the 12 pro, the colors are sad and dead and "yellowish".

Any ideas ?

Hello Antonio! I found a solution that works for me and would work for you as well! My new iPhone 12 also had the yellow tint to it so I exchanged it at my local apple store and although the new one was better, it still had the tint to it. My solution is to actually change the color tint of the display by going into your settings < accessibility < display & text size < color filters < turn on and select color tint. You can scroll down and adjust the intensity and the hue. I have my intensity slider all the way to the left and my hue is about 80% to the right which adjust the tint to a more natural color. It has satisfied me and I hope it works well for you!

I live in London and will be making my third attempt. Two failed attempts both Iphone 12 pro max with yellow tint/green tint/flickering issues.

Well as long Apple fixes this they have to return the device within the return policy even if that takes them to open 20 boxes!!

The only downside is that london is in lockdown till 2nd Dec. So browsing display models in store is not allowed. So I am waiting to make my third change when lockdown is lifted soon on 3rd Dec. The Christmas Return policy covers me till 8th Jan 2021 in London so I am covered!!! But this issue is **** real!!

OK. So I am going crazy.

I changed my iphone 12 pro max the third time and it is the same!!!! Different stores!! Different serial numbers but still the same!!!!

I made a video and called Apple Support and asked them to do a screen share. They did and I played the flickering green video so is is recorded. The senior team will call me tomorrow but I do not think they can fix the issue. They can only run a basis diagnostic over the phone which also went through my last two devices but did not help.

I will now take my third device to Apple once the stores open after 3rd Dec with genius bar to run diagnostics on the phone and see what they say.

I am so exhausted and disappointed already going back and fro changing three times and setting up my phone three times which is a pain in itself!!

Okay I can settle with the warmer display but NOT the green flickering issue!!! That is bad!!!!

Also see the following video. At last some one addressed the issue:

As some people have said here, returning does not help if you just get another device with a yellow screen. Me and my family have had many iPhones and never ever have there been any glue issues. Maybe your issue was the glue and it was not even as yellow from the begining as with the others here. If nothing has changed in two weeks, I don't see how miraculously the screen would be white after 3 to 4 weeks. The hue correction also indicates that there is no yellow glue in front of the display, but just wrong color calibration.

Its so fascinating to me how True Tone on makes the screens and colors normal I.e. true white and blacks, but only when viewed under natural daylight making the screen look exactly like that of my iPhone X with True Tone turned off. From the moment the sun sets it’s a different case, it gets more yellow than with True Tone turned off. This leads me to believe that this can DEFINITELY be fixed with software.

awesome! I really think that if this issue keeps going, I have to replace and yes 11 Pro Max or 11 works!

just so everyone knows, and you might already, I did compared after getting my 2nd iPhone 12 Pro with 11 and the screen on the latter one is SO NICE AND WAY BETTER, super good colors, no warmness, just a crisp nice screen on the 11

like how we are all normally used to!

HalitT rit_81 I agree with both of you!

One thing that makes me happy is that we are all sharing this issue within this community.

I am now less worried that it's not just a few phones, but rather a common malfunction of these series 12 displays.

I have until the beginning of January to return my iPhone 12 Pro, and I will plan and do so, and buy an 11.

I compared it with the 11 series, and the screen is JUST GREAT AS HOW it should be!

I am sure there will be a fix for this 12 series, however, I think that this is not something that will be done quickly!

Thank you for starting this thread, it was helpful for me also.

Please don't get me wrong, it is polite to say that you hope one is able to resolve the issue, but the truth is that you cannot resolve this. I just say so in order not to awaken false hope in anyone.

In addition to that I think Apple doesn't want to solve it either, since we would already know about it.

I would like to ask everyone to [give feedback](https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html), because this is only a user-to-user discussion.

Thanks, everyone for sharing the links and for continuing this conversation.

I understood that if you have Apple care, they will be able and replace the phone.

I am considering getting an Apple care for my iPhone 12 Pro and if the issue gets fixed, I will still be covered and get a new phone. If not, I will need to just go and replace this phone with an 11 series, I have some little time left, from the time I made the purchase this December.

Or just get the coverage and wait...The only thing is that we don't know how long this will take and when these 12 phone series will get the screens fixed.

It is simply not true. These phones are coming with yellowish and even pinkish to red tint even when I have not manipulated the screen at all.

The background to my Internet screen Safari, is extremely dull, off-white if you will.

I have put my iPhone 12 pro next to my iPhone XR and my iPod and they both blew my iPhone 12 pro out of the water.

they were extremely wire and the color is more vibrant on both.

I am not at all pleased with my iPhone 12 pro and have been looking at other devices.

FYI: Apple tech support is aware that there is an issue.

I returned my phone to Verizon yesterday. I tried to get over it, but the screen quality is just crap. The contrast is crap. The whites are crap. Also the blue color shift at angles and the fact the screen uses PWM dimming turns me off. This is a top tier 1200 dollar phone and they put these garbage displays in them...

Apple called me back today, and basically reiterated that there are no issues with the displays and to take into the store to have a technician look at it and adjust it to my liking. lol

Maybe this is the new "normal" for Apple. If that's the case, they ought to update all devices so they at least render color similarly across their platform. If I didn't have any other screens in my life, the phone would be fine most likely. But I have TVs, iPad, Watch, computer etc. And all have a nice neutral display. The move to the phone was just too jarring for me.

I'm either getting an 11 on sale or keeping my XR and hoping for some adjustments in the future- or... buying an Android LOL

Good luck all!
