If my Apple ID was compromised ... would I receive a call from local number that is automated that say it’s about set call from Apple support?

I just received a phone call came off as a local number and it was an automated call saying it was Apple support and that they think my user ID has been compromised and to press one to be connected to an agent so I connected to the agent N he told me that they think that it’s possible that my ID has been compromise to someone in Russia or China and wanted to login to my computer but I told him that I could not get access to it and he said that he would call back in an hour for me to log into my computer does it sound like it’s legitimate or??

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
