Phone calls

I have gotten about 5 phone calls from “Apple Support” today. It is a computer saying that my icloud has been compromised. They want me to push 1 to talk to someone or call a number ****-8257 to discuss with them. I am pretty positive this is a scam. Can you confirm?

They are indeed scams.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
