Using Security Software?

  • VPN may be the Culprit:

If you are logging in and see a different location, then a VPN (Virtual Private Network) may be set up. A VPN gets in the way on a Mac, and this is a pure example of how and why. With a VPN being used, it shows up in a location other than where you currently are.

  • Uninstall it, Using an Uninstaller:

Be certain to use an Uninstaller to uninstall the app. Get it from none other than the Developer. Ask the developer which to use, by contacting them using their Contact Us information. Downloading it elsewhere, you may end up installing Malware or Spyware.

Also....

Consider Modifying your Credentials:

If you suspect that someone is using your Apple ID, then secure it. Modifying your credentials seems the way to go from here.

If this is an e-mail you received, or a popup on the screen,  about the time you were actually logging in, there is probably nothing to worry about. The location in the e-mail is where your ISP reported it. If their servers are in a location distant from you, there will be a large error. Based on other posts I have read, the distant error can be very large.
