Ringer on iPhone 11 Pro keeps turning off spontaneously

Every day I miss calls and when I check the sound settings, I find that the ringer is off. Why is this happening? How do I fix this!!!!!

Hey there sders,

Being able to know when you get calls is important, and we'd like to help get it working right.

You mentioned that you made sure it's set to 'Ringer', but it turns itself to 'Silent'. We'd like to rule out the switch itself by ruling out any coverings on your iPhone, and if the switch itself is physically changing from Ringer to Silent, as this may be an issue with the switch. Please keep us posted on these details.

Let's also make sure that we rule out being outdated as a possible cause:

  1. As iOS 14.2 is the latest version, you can check which version is installed within Settings > General > About.
  2. Let's also make sure to Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Eric, thank you for your response.

I do have an OtterBox cover on my phone but it does not affect the ringer switch and the switch is not turning on and off as the cause. Also my phone is up-to-date with iOS 14.2. My carrier settings are up-to-date. My ringer spontaneously going to silent happens every day spontaneously. I have to check it periodically and turn it back on in Settings under sounds and haptics.

The problem still persists but I think you for trying!
