Wow. Here we are November 11, 2020 and the problem still persist. Yesterday (maybe the day before) I received a quick pop-up notice, saying my Logitech wireless mouse would no longer work with my OS and to contact Logitech. I went on their web page, but haven't found a solution as of yet. I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents into the conversation, as it seems to be a significant problem.

This response was the one that caused me to take a look at why my Logitech wireless mouse is working and not for others. I'm on Catalina 10.15.7. Opened System Preferences/Mouse and clicked the "Set Up Bluetooth Mouse . . ." and like others here, the little circle just kept spinning and spinning. So that's not the answer. Trying to remember how I set things up, I did a fresh install of Catalina 10.15.7 onto a spare SSD. Opened System Preferences/Mouse, changed a couple of settings and my Logitech wireless mouse just worked, no need to do the "Bluetooth" thing at all, at least on my system. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't think any Bluetooth connection is required.

I gave up on Logitech over a decade ago. They never could make a kernel extension that didn't cause kernel panics or fail at the very next update.
I don't imagine they have changed. You should contact them and ask if they ever intend to make software that works.
I use a Logitech wireless mouse on both my Windows 10 laptop and my iMac running Catalina. What I've learned over the years is that the Logitech software is totally unnecessary on either platform. Catalina recognizes the wireless mouse, change a few settings in Systems Preferences and you should be good to go.
I agree. When I opted out of the expensive Apple mouse, I plugged in a Logitech mouse and everything worked great...until I bought my new laptop with OS Catalina. Then it went bonkers. I never expected so many responses. Thanks to everyone. a brody wins the prize for what solved my problem (well, so far). I mentioned in a comment below, that even searching Bluetooth and Mouse in System Preferences, my device doesn't appear. I really don't care as long as the mouse keeps working.

Well, a. brody, it appears I spoke too soon. It worked great for most of the day and then latter that evening it became re-possessed, doing its own thing; freezing, going off screen, bouncing around, etc.

Also please note, it's macOS Catalina, not iOS Catalina. iOS is for iPhones and iPads.
