How do you exit the reply screen? I am having to exit iMessage entirely.

We see that you are trying to exit the reply screen while sending an inline reply in Messages. Replying to messages with the new features is a great option so one person sees your message. We're glad you reached out for help.
After sending your reply click on the display will bring you back to the message thread and exit the reply screen.
