In catalina the login screen could be customized by renaming the .heic file in /library/desktop pictures.
However in Big Sur i neither have the option to rename the pictures nor can I paste a new one.
Anyone knows how to customize the login screen in big sur?

I tried the solution and it worked for a while but than the system deletes the /Desktop Pictures folder automatically.
I even tried locking the folder but it still deletes it after a couple of restarts.
Any idea how to make it permanent?
