My appletv updated itself, and I can no longer find an option to link it to my HomePod (as a stereo). I made sure to group both accessories in the same “home” room, but the promised “use HomePod as stereo” window has not popped up (after multiple restarts). The manual “choose audio output” option seems to have vanished from the audio settings, too. Any help would be appreciated.

As I posted in another thread, for the AppleTV-HD there is no longer an Audio Output setting in tvOS 14.2 under Video & Audio to connect HomePod(s) as speaker(s). One has to use the Control Center on the Remote by pressing and holding the TV button until the Control Center appears on screen and selecting the AirPlay icon and then your HomePod(s).
