Mail no longer shows the time of the email along with the date

The date column in the Mail app no longer shows the time the email was received for all emails from previous days. For today it shows the time but "yesterday" and earlier only shows "yesterday" or the date that the email was received.

When I want to scroll back in my emails and look for an email that I received a few days earlier around 8:00 am, it is impossible because the date column no longer shows the time. I just see 200 emails with the date "11/24/20".

In the View menu, make sure Show Date and Time is selected.
