What is the lock with an arrow circling around it?

I have a new icon showing up on my iphone. Next to the battery icon there is a lock with an arrow circling around it. What is this for? It just showed up last week.

That is orientation lock (locks your screen in portrait or landscape mode so it doesn't rotate). You can turn that on/off in Control Center by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen and then tap that icon in Control Center.
