Are there additional downloadable effect and transition plugins for iMovie?

iMovie doesn’t accept 3rd party plug-ins. However, you can use the free download, Keynote, to create transitions and effects that you can then import into your iMovie project. You probably already have Keynote in your applications folder, but if not you can download it free from the app store. Generally, with any app that can create a tranisition or effect that can be exported in an iMovie compatible format you can import that effect into an iMovie project.
