Transfer of warranty on sale of iPad Air 4 (not Applecare)

My son bought an iPad Air 4 and doesn't like it. I have one and love it so can't understand him. If he sells it, will the rest of the warranty pass to the new owner?

The One-Year limited Warranty is linked with the device, regardless of the owner. If you're referring to AppleCare, you can also transfer that to the new owner using the steps here: Transfer your AppleCare plan
