Epson printer not working

After updating to Big Sur, my printer drivers won't work. How do I update these?

Hi,

https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/Epson-Stylus-Series/Epson-Stylus-NX625/s/SPT_C11CA70271?review-filter=macOS+11.x

Have you tried the v10.85 printer driver here?

If necessary, you may want to reset the printing system and re-add the printer.

If your Mac needs drivers then Epson needs to provide them: macOS 11 Big Sur Support

Excerpted from one of those documents:

"Epson recommends you select Never Upgrade to continue using the Epson driver with your product. This option will ensure that all your product’s features are available in the software. If you select Upgrade, your product will use the Apple AirPrint driver instead."

Apple recommends you do not install any drivers provided by the manufacturer: Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support

"Don’t install the software that came with the printer or from the manufacturer’s website; ..."

Conclusion: Add Epson to the list of printer manufacturers to avoid.
