mail

when i delete mail it does not go to trash. it is completely deleted. Why?

Do you see an "All Trash" mailbox in your sidebar window on your Mac?


If not, follow this advice from here

"Simply open your email, in the left sidebar, at the very top above "All Inboxes" you will see "Favorites". Hover over "favorites" and then click on the + sign. A box will open. Click on the arrow in the drop down menu and choose the folders you wish to display. If you have more than one email account, click on "All Trash". That will add the trash folder back and all your deleted emails will be there."
